Business and Solutions Analyst at Value Logistics
Purpose of the Job
The Business and Solutions Analyst drives end-to-end delivery of partner implementations, integrations, and new solutions for Value Logistics and its customers. As a supply chain service provider, Value Logistics collaborates with major suppliers, principals, and retailers, requiring seamless technical integration projects to connect partner systems to the Value Logistics processing platform. This role combines pre-sales consultancy, creative problem-solving, and hands-on project management to align technical solutions with business objectives, ensuring operational efficiency and commercial success. Reporting to the CIO, the analyst will leverage APIs, microservices, and real-time data exchange to deliver scalable, high-impact results.
Key Responsibilities
- Master the technical and operational aspects of the Value Logistics processing platform to execute integration projects effectively.
- Partner with sales and business teams to provide pre-sales support, advocating standardized integration frameworks to maximize functionality, reduce risks, and accelerate time-to-market.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design end-to-end integration solutions, ensuring alignment with business processes and technical requirements.
- Develop detailed project plans, coordinate resources from IT teams, and communicate deliverables to stakeholders.
- Own project execution, including network setup, solution testing, documentation, and user training, while ensuring adherence to specifications.
- Analyze and optimize business processes, proposing improvements and securing stakeholder sign-off.
- Monitor project progress through weekly reporting to the CIO and resolve technical incidents as needed.
- Promote standardization, quality, and innovation across Value Logistics and its partners.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) certification.
- Proven experience managing partner integration projects, ideally in supply chain, logistics, or retail.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication.
Skills Required
- Technical proficiency in IT solution design, development, and testing.
- Familiarity with integration protocols (APIs, EDI) and microservices.
- Experience delivering internal and external system integrations.
- Knowledge of supply chain operations and process analysis.
- Ability to train diverse user groups, from junior staff to executives.
